As my first review, I'll just say this directly. I'm not going to write some in depth, four page long review, for this or any other anime. Why? Well, there are plenty of those already, and when I read a review, I just want to know if it is something I'd like, preferably without having to read a book to do so.
Octavia is insubordinate to her superiors and stumbles upon a secret. As punishment, she is sent to the mines, where she is under the orders of an old rival, Lidia. Octavia is kept in a box, but is discovered by Arawn when the Gaels try to steal supplies from the compound. Lydia is the new character that appeared in the PlayStation 3 remake, Tears to Tiara: Kakan no Daichi. She is first seen in episode 7, Colosseum leading a group of soldiers wearing seemingly red colored metal as armor. She is the Commander of Ruburumu. When Octavia defeated her in a duel shown.
This is an anime to watch if you are bored out of your mind and literally have nothing better to do. I'd imagine as a video game, you'd build up more emotional connection to the characters, but in this anime I couldn't get connected to a single character. Combine that with a plethora of annoying characters and a superficial, fake romance between the two main protagonists, and it's just not worth watching. It annoys me how it says right in the description that the main female protagonists marries the demon king, yet there is virtually zero affection there. You'll find more legitimate romance in your average harem anime, which is kind of pathetic.
To summarize, this anime isn't the worst anime out there, not by a long shot, but if you want an anime that actually gets you attached in any way, or if you are looking for one of those rare gems that has a great romance even though there's no romance tag, then skip this anime. Trust me.
